Bob Partington super F22

Hi Rob

At last the review of the F-22 has been published in Quiet and Electric Flight International.  The model was completed last year and flown at many shows and electric fly-ins.  The model met with lots of interest and admiration, and won two awards.  Unfortunately the lack of good flying shots slowed down the submission of the review.

The model is superbly designed and goes together really well.  The shape looks just right for the F-22A.  You have done an excellent job in design and kitting.

The model has two Minifans with two Mega 16/15/4s with Jeti 40 A ESCs on a single Thunder Power 5s 6000 pack.

Best Regards,  Bob

Terry Ridgen  MicroBipe

Hello Rob

Thanks for your reply and recommendations.
I dont have pictures of the parts that the other builder alledged didnt fit but if I do come across anything when I build one I will let you know.

I can give you some feedback on the microbipe though.

Mine is equipped with a Hyperion 19-13 brushless outrunner turning a 7x4 prop and is  powered by a 2s 1320 Lipo battery.
Weight ready to fly is 320g without equipment its just under 115g.
During construction I tried to save weight where ever I could especially at the tail and it came out slightly  nose heavy.

I was particularly impressed with the good fit of the parts and the excellent wood used.

The instructions on the fuzelage constuction were less clear than I would have liked but I figured it out.  I replaced the control snakes with a closed loop system saving more wieght.

I have enclosed a picture of it , feel free to put it in a customers models gallery if you wish.

In the air it is a bit of a handful in windy conditions but on a calm evening it is a delight.

Regards

Terry RigdenTipsy Nipper from Andre Vogelwiesche

Hallo,

Was nun? Welchen Motor/ Prob könnte man alternativ nehmen? Was meinst Du?

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Andre Vogelwiesche

Panther from Ger van der Hulst

Hallo,
Vliegt perfect. Ook
erg langzaam en onkritisch in bochten.

F35 from Bob Partington

Hi Rob
Attached is a pic of the F-35 that I built.  The design and kitting are as usual superb, and do you great credit.
The motor is a Kontronic 400-42 on a 3s3p Thunder Power Pro Lite 6000 pack.  This produces 515 watts, which with a weight of 44.75 ounces gives superb performance and a duration of a safe 10 minutes.  With the CG as plan the low speed/high alpha handling is safe.

Beautifull AT6 from Dirk Mundt

Hallo Rbc Team

Bob Partington and his TA183

Dear Rob I have just test flown my Huckebein. Wonderful. I must congratulate you on an excellent model. The design and kitting are superb, and I really enjoyed building it. The motor is a Model Motors MV 2020/20 on 10xCP1700s. The motor is brushed and is roughly equivalent to a Plettenberg 200-20-6, but a lot cheaper. The model is finished in tissue and dope with the underside glassclothed. Total weight is 44 ounces. I found on the first flight that the model was very sensitive on the controls for me especially as I was flying in quite a high gusty wind. For the second flight I reduced the throws to +&- 4mm elevator and +4 and -3 on the ailerons. I also moved the c of g forward by about 4 mm. The model now feels more solid in flight and suits me better. The spoilers are set to 5 mm and appear to be very effective. I found on the approach to land that the model felt very safe and I was able to raise the nose without any fear of dropping a wing.

Best Regards. Bob Partington

Beautiful finish.

Another P51 from Steve & Brendan Thane

Very nice finish, nice pilot too.

Now from Andreas Peters Germany (one of our dealers) beautiful finished Micro P51

His comment :

Here pictures from Rene Kunipatz from Dresden Germany.

First pictures to receive from the TA183 beautiful finish, sad, bad crash.

Good flight , bad crash, Rene is building a new one , Good luck Rene.

Hi Rob

Here are some Pictures of my RBC-Fleet.

Pictures show my Skyray, Micro-Bearcat, Pou du Ciel and the Microbe.

All Models are great flying. I enjoyed building, because everything

fits perfectly and the CAD-Drawings are very good.

Max Zuidendorp is also a great designer.

Bob cleverly hide the elevator servo into the hump.

Wel done Bob

Here the Beautifull Tipsy Nipper from Roberto Grassi from Italy.

His comment:Ok, it's a very nice model, flyes really well

on a speed 400 6V 1:1,8 with 8 cells.On the club field it's a really crowd

pleaser.

I added an steering front wheel instead of the fixed one and helps me to do

nice taxiings.

Here the A4 from Glenn Ashe at the EAM shop, great looking.

Here the Skyhawk from Cees Kraayeveld

And here the Microbe from Frank Stevens

The Microbe is a fantastic plane.

I use 8 cells NiMh AA batteries: 1600mAh!

So flying 12 minutes 'full throttle' is possible.

Especially low altitude flying is exciting!

My 8 years old son Milan likes RC flying too. (my luck)

Here a message from Daren Anguelkov from France and a picture from his very nice

Microbe

Hello Dear RBC,

Thank you for your nice kits.

Here you find the picture of my Microbe he had one year old and 60 flights

and steel alive ;-)) My daughter Maud made the pilot (Tintin in France,

Snuppi in German ? I am not sure).

I love RBC's Kits : I had Delta 400, Tipsy, Paddle, and now I think I will

bought MicroBipe and Spitfire.

I'm just sending a little picture of my new Curtiss Hawk in Norwegian

colours. Flies nice with a speed 500 with 1:2,8 gear. But she's a

bastard with the CG 3 mm back!

Thanks for making an electric model of an unusual subject.
