F22 Raptor

The F22 has been my first RBC model. Wood quality and fit are both very good. The CDrom with pictures is a big help to the otherwise complex plan. You need to have affinity with classic balsa building! Although the possibility for full swing elevators is mentioned, this option is not worked out in detail. Like with most EDF's, the internal space is limited and placing both ESC's directly behind the motors is recommended. Launching the F22 with a simple trolley and 10kg pull is straight forward and reliable. Flight behavior is predictable and never critical. The given cg on the plan proved to be ok for first flights. Speed is very much scale and loops and rolls are ok with the given throws for the control surfaces. It can fly at fairly low speed, enabling beautiful flared landings. With 2 HET 4W motors and Wemotech 70mm evo fans you get about 5 min flight time on a 5s 4000mAh battery. With the typical and impressive silhouette, your F22 for sure gets a lot of attention from your fellow pilots.
